‘Trans ideology has taken over my school’, says 14-year-old

A 14-year-old girl in south-east England says transgender ideology has taken over at her school.

Of the 200 students in her year group, she says at least 20, mostly girls, claim to be transgender or non-binary.

Writing anonymously for fear of being bullied, the teenager wants “adults to know what it’s really like in schools like mine now”.

Obsessed

The student revealed boys and girls are regularly referred to as having been ‘assigned’ male or female at birth.

Pupils are also taught that the mythical Zeus could have “identified as non-binary” and that Lady Macbeth was “neither a man nor a woman”.

You get special treatment if you say you are trans or non-binary

Her school’s entrance has a display with LGBT flags and phrases and the library has a section dedicated to the topic, which regularly comes up in lessons.

Walking on eggshells

The 14-year-old said it feels like “trans is all anyone talks about”.

“You get special treatment if you say you are trans or non-binary and suddenly become the centre of attention when you ‘come out’.”

One teacher reportedly said they are ‘treading on eggshells’, scared of being labelled ‘transphobic’.

‘Teacher abandoned’

Last month, a senior Government Minister said teachers who want their schools to uphold the reality of biological sex are being put under pressure to keep quiet.

Teaching staff had complained that schools prevent them from following the Government’s legal advice in the absence of clear guidance from the Department for Education (DfE).

The senior Minister told The Mail on Sunday that teachers who “want to do more to push the stop button when they see children questioning their gender”, feel that they are “being abandoned”.
