HelloFresh blasted for ‘vile’ Pride Month ad

A meal-kit delivery company has come under fire for using lewd jokes to promote LGBT ‘Pride Month’.

In an Instagram post, HelloFresh made crude references to gay sex.

The firm wished homosexual men a “Happy Pride”, with a separate post advertising the discount code “BOTTOMSUP”.

‘Nonsense’

Writing on X, Author Eric Metaxas lamented that the “level of brazenness — of vileness and wickedness — here marks a new low”.

Several users said that they would be cancelling their subscription, while even a self-described lesbian said she was “so tired of this nonsense”.

The user, known as Ani O’Brien, explained: “I am tired of corporate Pride and activist Pride. This week HelloFresh decided that the best way to celebrate Pride Month was to post jokes” about homosexual activity, and “offering high-fibre recipes to help people ‘prep.'”

HelloFresh attempted to rebuff the criticism, claiming that the “Pride Month post from HelloFresh US was a lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek nod to a familiar conversation within the LGBTQ+ community”.

Family

Earlier this year, the US state of Tennessee announced that June would be “Nuclear Family Month”, in stark contrast to those who promote ‘LGBT Pride’.

Tennessee will officially celebrate the family — defined as “one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children” — as “God’s design for familial structure”.

Signed into law by Governor Bill Lee, Joint Resolution 182 emphasises that “the nuclear family is under attack in our beloved State and nation, and it is our responsibility to uplift, protect, and support values that help Tennessee prosper”.
