A woman who underwent an abortion as a “scared” 19-year-old has urged young women not to fall prey to the lies of the abortion industry.
Haile McAnally, who lives in the US state of Nebraska, was told that taking the second abortion pill at home would be like “a more intense period”, but ended up having to be rushed to hospital after she was found unconscious from excessive bleeding.
Now, after regretting her abortion and grieving for her lost child, she is speaking out on the dangers of abortion pills and seeking to reassure women in need of support as new mothers.
‘Here for you’
McAnally spoke of the marketing that presented abortion as “woman empowerment” and claimed “the sisterhood will take care of you”.
She continued: “And as someone in that position where you’re scared, and you are looking for answers somewhere, and you don’t wanna be alone and being so young at the time, that was a very enticing message.”
But despite the pressure, she emphasised that “there is hope and you don’t have to take” abortion pills.
She also pointed to “communities step up to help women in these positions, whether it’s diapers, or housing, or jobs, or just emotional support to lean into that because we are here for you”.
‘Changed lives’
Marjorie Dannenfelser, President of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, commented: “Women who’ve suffered the devastating effects of abortion drugs who are clear-eyed about the lies of the Big Abortion industry are the most effective advocates”.
“Their lives are forever changed, but they’re standing strong and having a powerful impact”.
McAnally has spoken to politicians about introducing a ‘heartbeat Bill’ in Nebraska, where abortion would be banned from around six weeks, and campaigned with the pro-life group to restrict abortion pills.
Abortion dangers
In England and Wales, abortions have rocketed since women under ten weeks were first allowed to take abortion pills at home in the coronavirus pandemic.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) stated: “The number of conceptions leading to abortion has increased by 35.2% since 2019, having previously been stable for more than a decade.”
Following the release of the figures, The Christian Institute’s Angus Saul said: “The dangerous pills-by-post scheme takes away medical protections, opens wide the doors for abuse, and has already been used to abort babies way past the ten week limit they were intended for. Their easy availability means they have even been used by men to spike pregnant women’s drinks in order to murder their baby.
“It’s time for politicians to wake up to the dangers and end pills-by-post for abortions.”
