Video of married OAPs’ piano duet is internet hit

An adorable video showing a married couple playing an impromptu piano duet has been viewed more than 10 million times on the internet.

The heartwarming video shows Frances, who is in her 80s, and Marlow, in his 90s, perform a rendition of a classic song in front of delighted onlookers.

The couple, from Iowa, repeatedly swap places during the piano duet of Old Grey Bonnet.

Laughter

The piece has been viewed millions of times on video sharing websites with people expressing their delight at the musical display.

Since the performance Frances and Marlow Cowan have spoken of how laughter has helped keep them strong in their marriage of over 60 years.

Mr Cowan said: “We play together and we pray together and we have fun together”.

“I think God has a sense of humour”, Mrs Cowan added.

Earlier this week a British couple who have been married for 75 years told a British newspaper that they are “more in love now than ever”.

Lionel, 99, and Ellen Buxton, who is 100, met in 1930 while both working in a factory in London.

Mrs Buxton told the Sunday Mirror that they “keep each other going” and that being good friends has kept them happy.
