The events surrounding the death of the Lord Jesus Christ are full of dramatic irony: The man who is mocked as the king, is the King; the man who is utterly powerless as he hangs dying on the cross, is the most powerful man the world has ever known; and the man who does not save himself, saves others.
On Good Friday last year at East London Tabernacle Baptist Church, Senior Minister Raymond Brown preached on the glorious message found in Matthew 27, that the death of Jesus Christ is the death to end all deaths.
