Rape victim targeted by abortion activists for choosing life

A woman who shared her powerful testimony about being raped and choosing life for her unborn child has been targeted online by abortion activists.

Jennifer Christie was raped while on a business trip. She became pregnant in 2014 and gave birth to a son. Despite her traumatic experience, she appeared on a pro-life video, speaking for those rape victims who conceive and who choose to keep their babies.

Abortion activists have targetted her by sharing shocking videos depicting the rape and mutilation of women. A video of strobe lighting was also sent to her in an attempt to trigger her photosensitive epilepsy.

Love is stronger

Her three-minute video for ‘Save the 1’, seeks to represent people conceived through rape and mothers who have children conceived through sexual assault.

This video has been watched more than 1.4 million times.

In her message, she said her son was “a reminder that love is always stronger than hate”. She said that though many urged her to get an abortion, women like her need “hope and help”, not “violence on top of violence”.

Jennifer told abortionists not to use her rape “as a banner to hide behind and excuse the genocide of the innocent.”

New purposes

Jennifer’s husband, Jeff, also voiced his belief in the sanctity of human life.

He said that children conceived in rape are not ‘terrible reminders’. “They are opportunities for healing and a way to find meaning from nightmarish meaningless actions.”

“I also recognized that our son had nothing to do with the horror she went through.”

He reminds other women who have been raped that abortion does not have to be the answer, “there are always options. ALWAYS people to help”.

And to abortionists who seek to deny men the opportunity to express pro-life views, he simply says: “Don’t tell me I can’t argue for life in the womb. I will.”

‘Repulsive’

Jonathon van Maren, commenting for Life Site News, said: “Someone furious that Jennifer was defending her son’s right to exist and condemning abortion as the killing of pre-born children wanted to make her suffer for her stand in the most repulsive way.”

“It is awful to think that young women defending the weak and the vulnerable and standing up for their own children would be subjected to sexualised attacks.”
