Pennsylvania Education Dept push towards ‘gender-inclusive’ schools

Parents in Pennsylvania are in uproar after it was revealed that teachers are being told to promote radical gender ideology in school.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDOE) has been criticised for resources which advise educators on how to create “gender-inclusive schools and classrooms”.

Among other recommendations, teachers are told to ask students which pronouns they prefer to use in the classroom including “ne, ve, ze/zie and xe”.

Recommended lessons

The Department’s web page refers to “binary gender” as the “faulty concept that there are only two genders: male and female”.

The page also recommends lesson plans for teachers and links to articles by other groups that promote “gender inclusive learning environments for students”.

A sample lesson from Learning for Justice, a group that works to “strengthen intersectional movements”, outlines how to host a “gender-neutral day” aimed at eight to seventeen-year-olds.

Indoctrination

A parent, Veronica Gemma said it is not academic and it does not “belong in the classroom”.

She said the PDOE should “focus on the terrible reading scores” and the “terrible math scores” but instead they are “focused on indoctrinating this next generation to change the fabric of our country”.

Another mother wanted to know what qualifies them to call “the concept of biological gender as faulty?”

‘Confusing young children’

Director of Outreach for Parents Defending Education, Erika Sanzi said: “This is part of a national effort in schools to ‘break the binary’ by confusing young children about biological sex and indoctrinating them into believing that gender is a spectrum.”

Feminist writer and commentator Kara Dansky told Fox News that it is “extremely dangerous” for an education department to try to “persuade children that they actually are the opposite sex”.

She said that “these efforts to use different kinds of pronouns are deliberately designed to make us dissociate our minds from the material reality of biological sex”.
