Parents outraged over explicit sex ed video

The head of a US secondary school’s Physical Education department has been suspended after he allowed a group of 14-year-old girls to be shown a graphic sex education video.

The teacher had approved a local sex education agency to speak to the students about sex. During the presentation, it showed the video which teaches about anal and oral sex techniques.

The video was made by YouTuber Laci Green, who has almost 1.5 million subscribers and works with abortion giant Planned Parenthood.

‘Entirely inappropriate’

Some of the outraged parents are now being represented by pro-family law group Liberty Counsel, which has demanded the Charlottesville Sex Assault Resource Agency (SARA) be banned from providing sex education in schools.

Liberty Counsel also wants Albermarle County Public Schools (ACPS) to confirm that no sex education videos will be shown to students without releasing them to parents first.

It said the school district must ensure parents have the freedom to withdraw their children from the classes if they see fit.

Kate Acuff, Chairwoman of the Albemarle County School Board, reportedly said the video was “highly offensive, entirely inappropriate for a student audience”.

Unacceptable

School administrators called each family to apologise, and Principal Darah Bonham said she was “embarrassed” that the situation had occurred.

She said: “I’m upset about it and I know it’s been the same way for our kids and for our families.”

However, she indicated that SARA would be allowed back into the school once “the dust settles”.

But Liberty Counsel said: “The dust will not settle on this issue. It is not acceptable for SARA to remain affiliated with ACPS as a provider in any fashion.”
