Tens of thousands joined the annual US March for Life, declaring ‘life is a gift’.
President of March for Life, Jennie Bradley Lichter, described the theme as “an invitation to everyone to be swept up into a movement that transcends politics and celebrates joy, beauty and goodness of life.”

The rally, which culminates outside the US Supreme Court, has been hailed as the largest annual human rights demonstration in the world.
Blessings
Vice President JD Vance addressed the crowds, stating: “We cannot be neutral, our country cannot be indifferent whether its next generations live or die.”
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” – Psalm 139:14
He lamented that “we treat babies like inconveniences to be discarded rather than the blessings to cherish that they are,” and how marriage and children are seen in culture as a burden – but stated: “we know that it’s a lie”.
Vance added: “the inheritance of our civilisation is something else, the fact that as Scripture tells us, each life is ‘fearfully and wonderfully made’ by our Creator.”
He stated: “It is the task of our Government to make it easier for young moms and dads to afford kids, to bring them into the world, and to welcome them as the blessings that we know they are.”
Truly grateful
The Speaker of the House Mike Johnson also spoke at the march, stating: “Our rights do not derive from the Government. They derive from God Himself, and we need to remind everybody of that.”
He shared how he was born as a result of an unplanned pregnancy when his mother was a teenager, and how she faced pressure to have an abortion, commenting that he is “truly grateful” to his parents “that they allowed me the chance at life”.
Johnson continued: “I think of the millions of children that did not have that same opportunity. And every single child deserves the opportunity to fulfill their God-given potential.
“And it is up to us to defend that freedom and that right”.
