Christian parents say ‘with God anything is possible’

A Christian couple from the US have praised God for the successful separation of their twins who were born joined at the head.

Parents Nicole and Christian McDonald were given the option to abort their sons Jadon and Anias “on many occasions”.

But the couple chose life and say their faith has grown in the process.

Struggle

Shortly after Jaden and Anias’ birth in September 2015, health problems began to arise.

The twins struggled with breathing and needed to be on oxygen for months.

Their health slowly improved after numerous surgeries and work began on planning for separation.

Surgery

Last week, surgery was carried out to separate the twins at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York.

The successful operation lasted over 24 hours and was performed by a leading expert in such surgery, Dr James Goodrich.

Afterwards, Nicole took to her Facebook page to thank God.

By giving our anxieties to Him, we have been able to carry the ‘burden’ and count it a blessing.

God’s grace

She wrote: “God has guided every single step of this process.”

She added: “Without God we would have unraveled many many months ago. People say we have handled this situation with grace…but it’s with God’s grace that we continue on.
