A ‘conversion therapy’ ban threatens gospel freedom

The King’s Speech promise to legislate in the controversial area of ‘conversion therapy’ is a missed opportunity for the Government to drop its deeply divisive plans. The Institute’s Joanna Timm warns that any such Bill risks eroding religious liberty, criminalising the ordinary work of churches, and compromising parental freedoms.

‘Carried by the Lord’s presence’

Aware of being “carried by the Lord’s presence”, Pastor Clive Johnston gives thanks to God that the message of John 3:16 — of hope, forgiveness, peace and freedom — has rung out as a result of his conviction. He expresses the hope that God will use recent events to “awaken believers to a fresh boldness to go into the highways and byways with the Gospel”.
