In 2008, Christian B&B owners Peter and Hazelmary were sued by a same-sex couple over their policy to allow only married couples to share a double bed.

In 2011 the County Court ruled against them and ordered them to pay damages of £3,600. Their subsequent appeal to the Supreme Court was unsuccessful.

Support

Peter and Hazelmary received hate mail and have been left with a very uncertain future financially, but have also won support across the world because of their consistent and principled stand.

Here they share how The Christian Institute stood with them during a very difficult time and encourage supporters to pray, go to meetings and give.
