MSPs set out case against assisted suicide
The Scottish Parliament voted on Tuesday 17 March 2026 to reject a Bill to legalise assisted suicide by 69 votes to 57. Crucially, twelve MSPs who previously backed the Bill in principle switched to voting against it in the final vote.
