Faith under fire: Daniel McArthur
Ashers Baking Company, based near Belfast, was asked to decorate a campaign cake in support of same-sex marriage but declined because of the owners’ belief in marriage between one man and one woman. The Equality Commission for Northern Ireland took the McArthurs to court. The judge found against them, but the case is now being appealed.
