Faith under fire: Daniel McArthur

Ashers Baking Company, based near Belfast, was asked to decorate a campaign cake in support of same-sex marriage but declined because of the owners’ belief in marriage between one man and one woman. The Equality Commission for Northern Ireland took the McArthurs to court. The judge found against them, but the case is now being appealed. Daniel McArthur spoke about his experience during The Christian Institute’s recent Faith Under Fire Tour.

Faith under fire: Hazelmary Bull

Hazelmary Bull ran a B&B with her husband Peter. A judge ordered them to pay £3,600 to two men in a civil partnership for refusing to provide them with a double bed. The case was appealed to the UK Supreme Court. She spoke about her ordeal at a meeting on The Christian Institute’s recent Faith Under Fire Tour.
