The UK Government is proposing to replace the Human Rights Act with a Bill of Rights. It says the Bill is intended to “ensure courts cannot interpret laws in ways that were never intended by Parliament”. Critics say it is seeking to put the Government above the law.

Ciarán Kelly speaks with Dave Greatorex and Sam Webster about the pros and cons of the Government’s proposed Bill of Rights.
