The punishment that brought us peace

“He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” – Isaiah 53:5

At Easter, we should reflect on how we have grieved God by our sinfulness, but also rejoice in the knowledge that in Christ Jesus we have a perfect Saviour who has provided a way for us to be reconciled to God forever.
