Five years ago the UK Supreme Court ruled that the key tenets of the Scottish Government’s Named Person scheme were unlawful. In this series we’re looking back at that long road to victory; hearing from some of those involved in that historic legal win and the campaigning that went along with it.

In episode 8 Angus Saul speaks to the Institute’s Deputy Director for Public Affairs, Simon Calvert about the No to Named Persons (NO2NP) campaign, and how the Scottish Govt’s refusal to listen to ordinary people saw the unworkable scheme limp on for three years after the Supreme Court ruled against it.
