SEX EDUCATION : Cut the smut Scottish schoolchildren will be told to buy condoms for homework under the Executive's package of proposals set to replace section 28. Other plans include:
Colin Hart, Director of The Christian Institute, said today "The Executive's guidance is short on safeguards and weak on marriage. Talking tough is one thing. Delivery is another. The Executive is clearly out of touch with what parents want. Today we are publishing our own manifesto for marriage in sex education. Next week we will be publishing a dossier of outrageous materials directly recommended by the Executive in their teachers' guidance. Jack McConnell cannot have seen the five English sex education resources endorsed by his department. It's time he did. Promises to block homosexual role-play and gay sex lessons have been broken. The Executive need to clean up their act. It's time to cut the smut." In a related move
