Who runs the theatre?

The Cliffs Pavilion, which will be showing Jerry Springer the Opera, is run by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council.

Public Money

For the year 2004/05, the net cost to Southend-on-Sea Borough Council for running the theatre was £1,090,105 (information obtained from the Council).

Targetting under-18s

The theatre's website on Jerry Springer the Opera advertises concessions to 'young persons' aged 16-25. Yet the DVD of the show has an '18' rating because of the extreme foul language and sexual content.
