When are the shows?
10th - 15th April 2006
Who runs the theatre?
The Cambridge Corn Exchange is run by the Arts and Entertainment Section of Cambridge City Council. The head of the Council's Arts and Entertainment Section is Nigel Cutting. The General Manager of the Corn Exchange is Graham Saxby.
How is the theatre funded?
The Corn Exchange is a Council facility publicly funded by Cambridge City Council. The net expenditure of running the Corn Exchange during 2005 was £1,188,905. (Confirmed in correspondence from Cambridge City Council.)
Equality Policy
Cambridge City Council’s equality policy states: “our services are free from prejudice and discrimination...” (Comprehensive Equality Policy, page 1). Yet surely the showing of Jerry Springer the Opera is discriminatory. The Council would not allow a production which spitefully mocks Mohammed or derides Hindu beliefs in such a way. The production clearly breaches the Council’s equality policy.
