The musical that spawned 45,000 complaints is coming to a town near you. Jerry Springer – The Opera, which also, incidentally, picked up every possible theatre award going for Best Musical in its opening year, is a hysterical and cynical look at the world of the eponymous chat show. Crashing through every barrier of taste, it is obscene and blasphemous, yet, many would argue, sublimely sung and brilliantly acted. A definite must-see for adults with a strong constitution.
