Jerry Springer the Opera spitefully and gratuitously denigrates the Christian faith. A DVD of the show has just been released and there will be a theatre tour around the UK starting in January 2006.

WHSmith has written a letter to us saying it has no plans to withdraw the DVD from sale.

The train operator GNER has encouraged it's customers to go and see the show in their Livewire magazine, describing it as "obscene and blasphemous".

Following complaints about the sale of the Jerry Springer the Opera DVD, Sainsbury's and Tesco have stopped selling it in their stores. Asda and Woolworths are not selling it because it has not been 'commercially popular', but are still selling the DVD from their websites.

Sadly, WHSmith are still selling the DVD which portrays Jesus Christ as a foul mouthed woman-beater who declares himself to be 'a bit gay'. The train operator GNER have encouraged the readers of their Livewire magazine to go and see something they describe as "crashing through every barrier of taste".
