Ministers open door for
human-animal embryos

The production of human-animal hybrid and chimera embryos has been brought a step closer after Government ministers indicated they want a change in policy.

Some scientists are advocating the research as being necessary for the manufacture of stem cells, but it is highly controversial and destroys human embryos.
