Q&A with Wayne Grudem

A thought-provoking Q&A is included in the 20-page tour brochure, which also includes stories of how The Christian Institute is equipping Christians to influence government on moral and ethical issues.
Brief summary of Dr Grudem’s message
He argued powerfully that one way to “love our neighbours” is to seek good laws and significant Christian influence on government. Organisations such as The Christian Institute can help equip Christians to take action.
In his talk Wayne Grudem uses his biblical knowledge to analyse and reject five wrong views about politics and the Bible: 1) government should compel religion; 2) religion should be excluded from government; 3) all government is evil; 4) do evangelism not politics; 5) do politics not evangelism.
He then proposes that Christians should exert significant influence on government, according to God’s moral standards and purposes as revealed in the Bible (when rightly understood). This is a way of living out the command in Matthew 22 to love our neighbours as ourselves.
